Multimedia in TESOL introduces participants to the world of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), and its practical applications to the language classroom. It is designed with the practical needs of all teachers in mind, be they experienced or inexperienced in the use of technology. Participants are introduced to the wealth of online resources available to language teachers, and give consideration to the ways in which they can be effectively exploited. Consideration is also given to the effective use of PowerPoint, email, and technology-based courseware. The course culminates in the creation of a teaching blog designed to facilitate communication with learners and in this way enhance the language learning process.
