Background Information
I was born in New Plymouth, New Zealand, where I attended elementary school. As a teenager, I attended Takapuna Grammar School in Auckland, New Zealand. Eventually, I went to Auckland College of Education, where I gained my Diploma of Teaching, which started me off on my career as a teacher.
Since becoming a trained teacher, I have worked in schools in New Zealand, Australia, and South Korea. In 2001, I took my first job as an English Instructor in Suwon, Korea. In 2003, I returned to Auckland College of Education to upgrade to a Bachelor of Education. In 2008 and 2009, I completed my Master of Education at The University of Southern Queensland.
I met Bo Young in 2002 and in 2004, we were married in Bo Young's parents' hometown
in Korea. I hold dual citizenship with New Zealand and Australia.
